In the series, *songs stuck in my head*, this time it’s Bolero. Also this
conductor is jazzing out far too much…

I could live to be a billion years old and I will never tire of Ravel’s
Bolero I know it is simplistic I don’t care. Talk about comfort music at
    its best

    This morning’s ear worm.

My favorite Ravel piece. Love Dudamel’s choices – specially tempo. Starts
it off nice and easy, makes you anticipate, and gives it room to grow into
a magnificent and splendid stride. :)

    BOLERO

If you are musically inclined, today marks the premiere performance of
Ravel’s Bolero. It was a sensational success at the Paris Opéra on 22
    November 1928.

Boléro is a one-movement orchestral piece by Maurice Ravel (1875–1937).
Originally composed as a ballet commissioned by Russian ballerina Ida
Rubinstein, the piece, which premiered in 1928, is Ravel’s most famous
musical composition. Boléro epitomises Ravel’s preoccupation with
    restyling and reinventing dance movements.

    FOR FURTHER REFLECTION

In my prayer time this morning I listened to Ravel’s Bolero, over and over
again until I wasn’t listening anymore … towards the end I felt like I were
being listened to by the flowing notes! I allowed myself to be caught by
the notes … and I stayed there … arrested.

What do you feel when you really listen to this piece of music?

Watching a professional Russian Ballet dance with this song a few days ago
was such a magnificent experience! I love this song so much!
