Selena Gomez is reportedly the ‘backstage favourite’ for the The Voice US mentor role.
The TV singing levels of competition are entering its ninth season on air, with Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams time for their posts as judges from the forthcoming episodes.
And it’s claimed the celebrity mentors have been completely chosen.
‘Selena Gomez is going to be Gwen Stefani’s mentor. John Fogerty are going to be Adam Levine’s. Brad Paisley is Blake Shelton’s, and Missy Elliott is Pharrell [Williams]’s,’ a resource told Us Weekly magazine. ‘[Selena] was surprisingly amazing to be a mentor while she’s so young. She exceeded everyone’s expectations.’
The group are joining many high-profile previous mentors that are included with Lionel Richie, Meghan Trainor, Ellie Goulding, Alicia Keys, Gavin Rossdale and Stevie Nicks.
Adam has been said to be elated concerning the prospect of chilling on set with John, the famous guitarist for classic rock-band Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Apparently the Maroon 5 crooner has ‘always needed to work with Fogerty’ when he thinks the 70-year-old musician is really a ‘legend’.
Blake recently divorced from his wife of 4 years Miranda Lambert, a fellow country singer.
It’s claimed he chose Brad as his team mentor form of hosting reasons.
‘Brad would have been a good friend to Blake, also it was perfect for Blake to get him there – especially considering everything Blake is certainly going through,’ the insider noted.
The ninth season of The Voice US will broadcast on NBC in America starting September 21.
