Love these visualizations of jazz music scores. This one is So What? Miles
Davis with John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderly, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers and
Jimmy Cobb (although his drum notation is missing…).

If you have several minutes, take a look at this — it’s best with head
phones, of course. An all time great jazz standard and a wonderful way to
    listen, watch and understand.

For me this is one of the best jazz solos ever recorded. Miles was an
innovator as well as a destroyer of convention. He dared to be different as
well as he dared to be destroyed himself. PRADO

Nobody needs to learn transcriptions of other musicians solos. With one
great exception: This one. And some other by Miles. And some more by Miles.

the liner noted for “Kind of Blue” were written by Bill Evans and in them
he talks about how, at the sessions, Miles came in with the chords sketched
on a napkin (or some such) and the guys just played to the sketch. He also
says that all the songs were first or second takes. These charts are
transcriptions of what was recorded, not the blueprint for the recording.
it just blows my MIND that these guys were in the same place at the same
    time and just DID this.
