you’re welcome!
Very helpful
Thank you for your comment…I’m happy to know that this lesson was helpful
to you.
i have a question: what if there are 2 notes of the same pitch under the
slur line, and there is no tie between the two, how do you play them? it’s
hard to slur same notes i would think.
The marking for ties and slurs is identical and often confuses students.
The difference is a tie connects two notes of the same pitch (on the same
line or space of the staff). A slur applies to two or more different notes
and means the two different notes should be played legato.
Ummm….it’s legato….with an “E”! I take it you didn’t know that was an
Italian word. LOL!
Thanks☻ It’s a start to understanding how to read music, my book doesn’t
say much about it.
Thank you very much. It did helpt me.
