Two weeks ago, Ryan Adams announced he was recording a full-length cover version of Taylor Swift’s massively successful pop album, ‘1989’. The singer-songwriter is posting short snippets of his progress from the time that.

Upon discovering the record, Swift expressed her excitement, praoclaiming that she would “pass out” and then adding: “not destined to be able to sleep tonight or anymore and I’m planning to celebrate today annually as a holiday”. Now within a statement released to Entertainment Weekly, she reaffirmed that enthusiasm, saying the expects the record for being “something really special”.

“Ryan Adams is amongst the artists who shaped my songwriting,” wrote Swift tells playboy. “My favorite section of his kind of creating music is his capacity to bleed aching vulnerability in it, and that’s what he’s through with his cover project of my album 1989.”

“When I first heard that Ryan was likely to be covering my entire album, I couldn’t trust it,” she added. “It’s this type of honour that she would want to take my stories and lyrics and provides them a brand new life. He’s gotten among the best musicians together to record this album and when the clips he’s released are any indication, this is about to be something really special.”

Adams revealed what is this great of his surprise project on Twitter and continues to be keeping fans updated on his progress via social media since that time, sharing previews of ‘Welcome To New York’, ‘Bad Blood‘, ‘All You Had To Do Was Stay’, ‘Out Of The Woods’ and ‘Wildest Dreams’. Just yesterday he posted an additional snippet of Swift’s single ‘Shake It Off’.

‘1989’ arrived on the scene last October. A release date just for this new version has yet for being announced.
